Wii TowerDefense 0.95

PlaatSoft has released TowerDefense v0.95. The following changes were made:

31-03-2010 Version 0.95
GUI:
– Update menu screen information.
Core:
– WiiMote timeout increase from 60 to 300 seconds.
– Improve stability.
– Use libfat 1.0.7 as disk access engine.
– Use libogc 1.8.3 as Wii interface engine
General:
– Make source code compliant with r21 compiler.
– Build game with devkitPPC r21 compiler.

    Yeah, during gameplay, you cant set a tower where the menu is. Some of the map is under the menu on the side, maybe you could fix that?

    • Hi SnipeX, Thanks for the feedback. That you can not build under the menu is correct. Maybe I will introduce a moveable menu in a up coming release. Greeting!

    Hi!
    I really like the towerdefense kind of game. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to start your game. It hangs at the startup screen. I do have wifi enabled. What else could the problem be?

    • That’s strang. I known that’s something the game is crash (5% of all starts) but not everything. Can you tell me in with state the network layer is. Lower corner shows information about the actual network status.

    I love your game. As you can see, I’m currently 2nd in the top high scores.
    I actually got to a point where my defences are stronger than your maximum attack level, so the gameplay never ends (or does it?), after about 1 hr of just watching the screen, I decided to remove my defences so the game would end. Anyway, the guy in 1st place probably got there as well.
    Can I suggest that you increase your limit of bots/difficulty indefinetly, every time the you go to the next wave?
    Also: the bonus in $$ could be higher considering the number of seconds left when the user completes the wave.
    And I have to force my resolution (screentype Wii option) to 576I, because at 480p I can’t see all squares of the map. Have you ever tested at that resolution?
    Another one: in the list of high scores, how about a list of the top scores of each map? Gamers love this kind of stuff.

    • Thanks for the comments. I have tested the game in both resolutions. In the 576I TV mode you have 96 more pixel rows. Therefor the map is bigger and you can build more weapons. You are using a old version of the game with contains a bug. Therefor you can reach so high highscore. From version 0.96 reaching level 65 is almost impossible.
