Nintendo DS in toilet

This evening my three year old son drop accidentally my Nintendo DS in the toilet. 🙁 Too bad, I was not at home so my wife tried to dry it and switch it on again. Only the upper screen lighted up and after a few seconds the DS died. Is it possible to repair a Nintendo DS with water damage? Reaction are welcome!

  1. I do tech support for iPhones, and what we usually recommend is to put the device in a bag of uncooked white rice – will try to draw the moisture out of it. Also don’t try to charge or power electronics on after they’ve gotten wet – if there’s water bridging any connections, you don’t want more current running through it than there already is. Little late for posting this I’m afraid, but good for future reference..did it ever come back to life?
