My new project

Hello everybody,

Many, Many thanks for your overwhelming reactions. 289 votes were made in total. I have analyze the poll and all the 86 comments. Most people (51 votes) like a Tower Defense kind of Wii game. That is a great choice! 😆 I will start today with designing, building and testing this new game. In four to eight weeks the first beta release will be available.   1. sounds awesome wplaat,your releases are really polished games. they may be basic in some way, but they’re classic and fun and kind of addictive, I will never be bored of Pong2, finally 2 player mode, brings a new level to the game now 🙂

  11. Hey would love to beta test. Tower defense games are some of my favorites. Im kind of bummed though that I just found out about this poll. Super Mario War would have been great!!

  12. Great idea wplaat! I really like your Pong2 and the classic Red Square game, and I enjoy tower defense games too. I’d also like to beta test if that’s at all possible. Thanks.

  14. Hi, Boulder Dash is on place 3 😥 if you ever want to start programming a Boulder-Dash-Game, i would like to help you as far as i can because i really like it. So if your Tower-Defence-Game is done, i would really like to Beta-Test or translate a Boulder-Dash-Game for you. wbr

  15. Hi Domi78, Two days ago an other developer has release a Boulder Dash clone for the Wii Homebrew scene. I did not check it out yet! But give it a try!

  18. Hi Matt, that is interesting news. 🙄 I will checkout the hyperlink. I really was in the impression that this game was not out there yet! I did not see it appear in the Wii homebrew scene. So maybe it is a dead project. I will check it out. Wants again, thanks for this information.

    I did a fast source code check. The “game” is really in the early begin phase. Just some initial functions, no working stuff yet. So I will keep on going on my own. If this other game is released before my game i will rename to TowerDefence2. 😆

    Heh, Golden eye, RE4? That would be interesting xD
    Tower Defence though hmm… those are kinda fun till your tower is perfect and the gameplay all runs down into just repeating the same task over and over again.
    Not really my most favorite style of game but good for quick bursts.

    I’m up for beta testing though!

  25. You should check out Defense Grid: The Awakening. It’s the first TD game I’ve played that seemed really well balanced (no “perfect” strategy) and was lots of fun for hours and hours.

  44. Idea: Create a new about the beta-tester and choose the people can help you for different things /like: LAN Adaptator, a special controller, a special version of Wii, another coder etc./

  47. That’s awesome i seen the high-res images on your feedsite. It looks like it is going to be more of a Bloon’s tower defense type (which is one of my favorites) instead of the desktop tower defense game. I am so excited for this to come out. Good luck.

  49. I’d love to be a beta tester; My Wii is ready to go, I’ve been following the Wiibrew scene almost since it began and I’ve some experience in coding/scripting. I also like to find bugs in software 😛

    I’ve never used a piece of software and not found a bug of some description in it 😛
    so, yea, PICK MEH 😀
