  1. I played this flash game called stack em’ recently. The object is to stack an assortment of shapes in a pile with knocking any of the shapes off the pile. It was pretty fun.

  2. A rubics cube game would be great. Whit wiimotes giroscope can easily turn the cubes sides. Sorry for my bad english.. =)

  3. Personally, I think that instead of revamping/remaking an old(ish) game for the Wii, you should develop a completely new one. For example, theres a slight lack of (decent) platformers in the homebrew scene right now, and I know about the Splatter Castle or whutever one, but you should make something new and fresh. My opinion.

  4. Nethack or some other rougelike on the wii would be awsomeall you would need is some way to access inventory keyboard commands etc.

  5. hi,
I am a lover of acrobatic flying kites in the form of freestyle. It is a fascinating sport in which I’m starting. The kite will move, based on the movement forward / back of each hand, making the kite reacts depending on the wind and the drag force on the lines. you can see videos in youtube searching kite freestyle or directly http://es.eolo.com/videos-de-cometas/sport-pro/neox-sp8311-video-01/

If you are interesting, please contact with me.

  6. These games are really classic for the vote, but you should make something more intresting game, like most of the peoples would play fear against tetris. It’s up to you what are you capable of, so far you’re making very nice games, but what would it be, if it would shock the homebrew scene just like conduit did with the wii scene. Give them a line and wait for it if they dare to cross it.

  7. I would like to see a port of the game blazing heroes to the wii for at least a game like it.

  8. Super mario war

  9. Marble Madness!
It just randomly came to me… I loved that game, and still try to pull out my NES to play it once in a while 😛

  10. Lol, Get Bang Bang working on the Wii.
Classics are alright, but chances are we already have them on NES emulaters or just
as easily played on the computer. Make something that uses four players on the same
screen, all we have is bump n jump. Create a tank style game, maybe a top down battlefield with
4 player splitscreen, they’re always cool. Or sword fighting… Joust?

Boulder Dash is done to death.
    Poker is everywhere.
Tetris 2 is obtainable through SNES emulation.

  11. I think you should do the fan game gang garrison.

If that is too unrealistic, quiz games like the impossible quiz would also be good.

  12. Oh yeah, I was about to ask for a puzzle bobble remake (using the wiimote sideaways and tilt it just in racing games for pointing), but the trial bike idea is just great!

  13. I would love to see a port of a 3d game supporting multiplayer gaming – locally or lan or even wifi – I understand that locally is likely easiest to implement, but I can dream can’t I? work has been done to create a 3D gaming engine with preliminary results that are rather encouraging. ” http://wiibrew.org/wiki/FiSSION “. Also much progress has been made in terms of modding or porting GoldenEye 007 from the n64: ” http://www.goldeneyesource.net ” (Half life 2 mod) , ” https://forums.alliedmods.net/archive/index.php/t-12421.html ” (talk of a mod for Counter Strike) , ” http://www.goldeneyeforever.com ” (tutorial and downloads for getting a GoldenEye rom to run with an n64 emu with new levels and other hacks / mods). I’m sure you can see where I am headed with this. Now maybe not GoldenEye exactly but I Know nearly all of are crying out for a 3d shooter with multiplayer and as the Wii64 homebrew emulator ” http://code.google.com/p/mupen64gc/updates/list ” has seen alot of troubleshooting and support but few updates and no new releases. Furthermore, their compatibility list leaves something to be desired, much like Nintendo’s N64 VC list….. It would be a huge project but even something with results as basic as faceball for the snes (a very basic low end -even for its time- first person shooter) woiuld be awesome. Infact, with such mods as Mario Doom, why not mod Wii Quake or something similar to be a 007 mod?

  14. Hi,

So many great games come to mind: Supertux, Nethack, Celestia, Lbreakout, Xmoto, Warzone 2100, etc…

Bye and thanks for your games !

    Magic_Sam

  15. Some defence games (Tower defence and such) would be great on the wii imo.
Image if someone can play the attacker and someone else could play the defender.

Brilliant concept, many have tried but few have succeeded to create a good balanced, and fun game.

  16. You could make your own remake of the original The Legend Of Zelda. You could improve the graphics and put in other things. Thats what game I would want.

  17. A game-type long overdue for re-interpretation is something like intellivision’s utopia (civilization beta we call it) a sort of turn-based strategy lite that could be used as an inspirational jumping-off point for all kinds of gameplay variations, actiony ‘events’ combined with strategy and ‘building’ see also: populous, simcity

    Don’t remake, mashup! 😉

  18. a simple shoot the target game, but with the ability to add your own photos in an enemys folder, shoot them to gain points, and put photos in a friends folder, shoot them and lose points. etc, easy, fun, and stress reliving if you put the faces of all those people you don’t really care for into the enemys folder

  19. A Marble Madness clone would be cool, also, something like Hogs of War, or Gunbound (or preferably it’s more evolved cousin Wild Cannon), or Worms! All of these could be four player and/or use online play!

  20. Are you strictly making just games? Because I would love an app to access the internet, with full features and stuff. Flash 10 and Java. Like an upgraded internet channel.

  21. Quake 2 deffinitly. If I knew how to code that would be my first project. Quake one is fun, but Quake 2 would be soooooo much more fun to play on the Wii. Get the music to work as well and you have a damn fine homebrew.

  22. Wii physics game…. A bit like Iphone physics…. but with a story and onjectives that progress the story

  23. I would like to see Risk.. online play would be sweet.. I know there is java based (and i think open source?) version called domination (you can find it on sourceforge)

  24. Yeah I definately like the idea of a decent Tower Defence game 🙂
Like the original wii game Defendin’ the Penguin, but this one is way too childish and there is no strategy needed at all, plus the waves are slow and no speedup button.

  25. Hi,

Ever considered OpenTTD? I would love to play it on the Wii.
Thanks for the poll and your effort in Wii Homebrew!

  26. A Multiplayer Quiz game would be sooo cool! All Wii Quiz games get boring after a while, so it should be developed allowing lots of variations… but it would be worth the work, without a doubt. I know how it could come out, but I’m not really good with Wii developing… but it would be a nice idea

  27. Have you ever played Rampart? It would be amazing with the wiimote! you basically shoot cannons at each others forts for a round, then you have a time limit to rebuild your fort, depending on the size of your fort you get more cannons to shoot in the next round..

It’s an amazing game.. I think the PS3 has a version of it ported on PSN.. It wouldn’t be hard to make on the Wii.

  28. hey!

A punch-out for the nes/snes remake would be awesome! shaking or thrusting forward the nunchuk and wiimote for left and right punches respectively, I´d play for hours untill it hurts!

  29. Audiosurf’s port?

mmmm can you make various ports of popular games like gta VI, portal, bioshock, no more heroes, madworld, RE4, etc., but with NES graphics… uhmmm it can be with .nes extension or simply with a interpreter and run it via homebrew channel.

Sorry, i no talk so fine english, so escuse me 😀

  30. someone needs to create an online rpg..a less intense city of heros or everquest type thing.

or find a way to port goldeneye in homebrew with an online multiplayer. fuck yeah how sweet would that be?

  31. Right , this could be too hard.

Could you make a game like Darkcut/trauma centre.

incase you dont know, darkcut is a online flash game like trauma centre.

i would love a game like this on wii

  32. OREGON TRAIL!!

I remember loving the hunt for food, which i think would be great on the wii.
and who doesn’t love… “you have died of dysentery”

  33. I think you should edit Guitar fun to at least support the guitar hero 4 guitar. Perhaps drums and various different instruments

  34. Please try and re-create Theme Hospital. I know it’s a long shot, but it’s such a great game!

Failing that, a pinball emulator? I’ve always thought the 2 screens would be great for pinball games.

  35. @Jan:
I have been working on a version of Risk for the Wii. The first release should be coming very soon.

  36. I would love to see jezzball, rodents revenge, rattler race, Pipe dream, or skifree… Or prettymuch any of the classic microsoft entertainment pack games ported (in O.S. form) for the wii. :]

  37. The best I can imagine would be porting succesfully the mythical MUGEN engine, so everyone could create his/her own ultimate fighting game. It should support DVD or USB besides the SD card and the GameCube controller would be nice to play it. The MAME also would be very good, to play Marvel vs Capcom and games like that would be awesome!
