Sorry for the inconvinience! Hello everybody, Can someone tell me why http://wiibrew.org and http://codemii.com are all ready down for more the 24 hours? Any news about this topic is welcome! Received awardsThe coming year more exciting games and tools will be created. So please checkout this website regular. On this moment GRRLIB 4.3.0 is working slow in combination with FreeType font access. Check out below mail content. The good news is that “Crayon” is working on a solution. I will keep you informed! Hi Crayon, Today i have upgrade the GRRLIB from 4.2.1 to 4.3.0 in TowerDefense. The upgrade went good but the result was not really good. For some reason the freetype library is very slow. Resulting in poor (Frame-Per-Seconds) during the game play. Early this year you have tuned this library in the GRRlib 4.2.1 build and it was lighting fast. Why is it now so slow again. Do you have a idea? Looking forward to your response. wplaat
Hi crayon, Good news. I found the performance problem. I was testing wrong. I did not known, that when I compiled the new GRRLIB 4.3.0 library the *.a and *.h files were copied to the devkitpro directory. Therefor I was using everytime with the same “new” libraries. If I now replace the new freetype library of GRRLIB 4.3.0 build with my own old Freetype library (Downloaded from the wiibrew.org site). Everything is working lighting fast again. So the problem is related to the new freetype library. Can the performance issue be related to some wrong build flags in the freetype makefile? wplaat
Yesterday I joined the Flattr community. I hope this investment will payout in the coming time! Flattr is a micropayment system, which launched publicly in March 2010 on an invite-only basis, and then opened up to the public in August 2010. Flattr is a project started by Peter Sunde and Linus Olsson. Users will be able to pay a small monthly amount and then click buttons on sites to share out the money they paid in among those sites, sort of like an Internet tip jar. The minimum users will have to pay is 2 euros per month. Sunde said, “the money you pay each month will be spread evenly among the buttons you click in a month. We want to encourage people to share money as well as content. This afternoon I have upgraded my Wii firmware from version 4.2e to 4.3e. Now i can use the Wii shopping channel again. Also the pre-installed Homebrew Channel (version 1.0.8) and my free developed and downloaded games are still working fine. So i am a happy man!

* Counting is based on my website, CodeMii (HomeBrew browser) and Google code site downloads. This evening I have upgraded my website. The following changes were implemented: This evening my three year old son drop accidentally my Nintendo DS in the toilet. This evening I have upgraded my friends Wii firmware from version 3.0e to 4.2e. Before I upgraded the Wii firmware I first installed the Homebrew channel (1.0.6) and hidden DVDx channel with the Bannerbomb exploit. This hack is really easy. It took my only 5 minutes to complete all steps. After that I successful upgraded the Wii firmware to 4.2e and installed all (new) available Nintendo channels through the Wii shopping channel. This took about 45 minutes.
Latest week I have added to all my Wii projects extra source code documentation based on javadoc notation style. With doxygen (Doxygen is a documentation system for C++, C, Java, Objective-C, and lots of other programming languages) i have created HTML documentation. This documentation is added to the Google SVN repositories. I hope this will help you to understand the source code better. Hi, As you maybe already notest i have joined the Ohloh community. Some kind of Facebook community for open source projects. Most large open source projects (for example Firefox, Gcc, Bash, subversion, Apache, etc.) have joined this great community. It would be really nice that you give me some credits for my work in this community. So if you like the developed software, join the ohloh community and click on the “I USE THIS” button located on the detail project pages. Many thanks in advance. This morning I have upgraded my website. The following changes were implemented: |
